What weight do you recommend for a newbie?
if you're a beginner at whatever it is you're doing, your best bet is to go with the least amount of weight. I purchased the 12 lbs vest, and if you really think about it, that is a lot of extra weight to be carrying around. Crawl before you walk, start slow.
5'6" 127 pounds female, 51 years old what size should I get?
The vest does not come in sizes. If you are new to using a weighted vest or weights in general, I would start with the 12 lbs vest.
I'm 5'3 234 lbs will this fit me?
I do not know your upper body dimensions but the clasp are in front and are adjustable. It is like a flexible vest
Can you wash it?
Based on how constructed I would say best can wipe it down.
Would this vest be comfortable for a woman with an ample chest?
The strap is best worn above the breast
I wear it so it sits under my clavicle and so that it sits further back on my shoulders to not slouch
Do the front straps ride up on the neck?
No it does not
Are the vest and weights waterproof? In case I wanted to go swimming with the vest on?
Not recommended for swimming. They are not waterproof and can not confirm or deny the deteriorating of the material in pool water.
I have a sore back sometimes. Has this given anyone back pain?
I have back issues as well. No issues thus far. And its not really sitting on your back. It feels like your shoulders bear most of the weight. And its all evenly distributed

Is the mesh pocket on the back big enough for a hydration bladder.. anyone have any measurements they could provide.. on the 12 or 20lbs vest?
The mesh pocket of my 12 lbs vest is 5.5" wide and 3.5" deep. I've never used the pocket to carry anything, but it holds an 8 oz. bottle made to carried on a hydration belt, but some the bottle sticks out. The pocket is located between the shoulder blades so it would not be easy to reach while wearing it.
Are those stripes reflective for night running?
Yes, those stripes reflects light at night.
Does this device affect posture?
I’m not sure. It might if you’re a woman, a small woman, where you could conceivably tighten the straps enough to assist with posture. Sorry I can’t be of more help
Is this product good for plus size women?
Yes it is. the buckles can be adjusted for your comfort.
